The package

What you are paying for

A facelift is a major operation. Rather than just pulling the skin tight, Mr Kumar lifts the deeper supporting layer of the face, known as the SMAS, then re-drapes the skin without tension. Surgery takes around three and a half hours under general anaesthetic, followed by a night in hospital.

The guide price covers your whole journey as one package, so you do not receive separate bills from the surgeon, the anaesthetist and the hospital.

Your package price usually includes

  • Your surgeon’s fee: Mr Kumar performs your surgery personally
  • The consultant anaesthetist’s fee, where an anaesthetic is needed
  • Hospital and theatre fees, at a CQC-registered hospital
  • A set number of follow-up appointments
  • Aftercare and support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Everything in writing, with no pressure to proceed

Your quote

What affects the price

Every treatment is planned around you, so the guide price is a starting point. These are the main things that shape your final quote.

Your technique

Mr Kumar recommends a deep plane or SMAS facelift based on your anatomy, skin quality and goals. Your quote reflects the approach agreed with you.

Adding other procedures

A facelift is often combined with a neck lift, upper or lower eyelid surgery, or CO₂ laser resurfacing. Doing them together means one anaesthetic and one recovery, and your quote covers everything planned.

Your choice of hospital

Hospital fees differ, so the price depends on which partner hospital you choose for your surgery.

Paying for treatment

Insurance and finance

A facelift is a cosmetic operation, so health insurers do not usually cover it.

KIMS Hospital and The McIndoe Centre offer finance packages to help spread the cost. Details are on their own websites. These are third-party finance companies, not affiliated with Mr Kumar.

Other things to plan for

  • Time off work: most people return to desk work between two and four weeks
  • No driving for two to three weeks, so you may need lifts
  • Someone to take you home after your night in hospital
  • Sun protection and not smoking, which help the result last

Comparing quotes

Why prices vary

Prices vary because surgeons include different things. When you compare quotes, check whether each one includes the surgeon’s and anaesthetist’s fees, hospital and theatre fees, any overnight stay and your follow-up appointments.

Surgery abroad can look cheaper, but you are far from your surgeon if you need help while you recover. With Mr Kumar you are cared for in CQC-registered facilities close to home, with support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

FAQs

Cost questions, answered

How much does a facelift cost?

A facelift with Mr Siva Kumar starts from £6,495. Your final fee depends on the technique, any procedures combined with it and the hospital you choose, and is confirmed in writing after your consultation.

Does adding a neck lift or eyelid surgery cost more?

Yes, because the operation takes longer. Combining procedures can still make sense, as you have one anaesthetic and one recovery. Your written quote shows exactly what is included.

How long will I need off work?

Most people return to desk work between two and four weeks after surgery, and can usually drive again after two to three weeks.

How long does a facelift last?

Most people enjoy the benefits for many years, often around ten. Your face will keep ageing naturally, but you will continue to look younger than you would have without surgery.

How much is a consultation?

For self-pay patients, a first consultation is £250 and a follow-up consultation is £150. If you go ahead, your package includes a set number of follow-up consultations to see you through recovery.

Can I pay in instalments?

KIMS Hospital and The McIndoe Centre offer finance packages to help spread the cost. Details are on their own websites. These are third-party finance companies, not affiliated with Mr Kumar.
