What is breast fat transfer?

Two benefits from one procedure

Fat is gently removed by liposuction from an area such as the tummy, hips or thighs. It is then purified and carefully injected in small amounts throughout the breast.

The result is a soft, natural-looking increase in size with tiny scars and no implant. It is particularly good for modest enlargement, correcting asymmetry and improving shape after surgery.

Some of the transferred fat is naturally reabsorbed, so more than one session may be needed to reach your goal.

Breast fat transfer can help with

  • A modest increase in breast size
  • Breasts of different sizes
  • Improving shape alongside an uplift
  • Contour irregularities after previous surgery
  • Softening the edges of existing implants

What it won’t do

  • Give a large increase in size in one session
  • Work if you do not have enough fat to spare

Your journey

Your step-by-step journey

Your journey starts the moment you get in touch. From your first enquiry to your final check-up, you deal with the same small team, and you will always feel listened to, informed and never rushed.

01Step one

Get in touch

Call, email or send an enquiry. Our team replies promptly and personally, and finds a time and clinic that suit you.

There is no pressure and no sales script. Tell us a little about what prompted you to get in touch, and we will make sure your consultation is with the right person for you.

02Step two

Consultation

An unhurried, face-to-face appointment with Mr Kumar himself, who will be your surgeon from start to finish.

He listens to what you would like to change, examines you, explains every option, including non-surgical ones and doing nothing, and gives you an honest view of the likely result.

03Step three

Time to decide

You receive a written plan, a clear quote and your patient guide, then take as long as you need.

A second consultation is included before surgery, and there is a cooling-off period of at least two weeks. Bring someone with you, ask anything, and change your mind at any point.

04Step four

Day of treatment

The procedure takes about two hours under general anaesthetic, and you usually go home the same day.

He will see you beforehand to go through the plan and answer last-minute questions, and you will have clear instructions and a number to call once you go home.

05Step five

Aftercare and follow-up

Reviews at each stage of your recovery, with support 24 hours a day whenever you need it.

Follow-up appointments are included in your package price, and continue until you have healed and are happy with how things have settled. You wear a compression garment on the treated areas for a few weeks.

Recovery

Healing, step by step

Everyone heals at their own pace. This is a typical recovery, and Mr Kumar will give you a personal plan.

Days 1 to 3

Bruising and soreness, mainly where the fat was taken. Wear your compression garment.

Week 1

Most people return to desk work within three to seven days.

Weeks 2 to 6

Avoid pressure on the breasts. Bruising fades.

Week 6

Return to exercise.

3 to 6 months

The fat that remains is permanent and the final volume is clear.
