Sculpting stubborn areas of fat
Liposuction with Mr Siva Kumar removes pockets of fat that resist diet and exercise, to refine your shape. Often a day case.

At a glance
What is liposuction?
Contouring, not weight loss
Liposuction removes fat through small incisions using a fine tube called a cannula. It is very effective for stubborn areas, but it is not a substitute for weight loss.
The best results come when you are close to your ideal weight and your skin has good elasticity. If there is a lot of loose skin, a skin-tightening procedure may be better.
The fat removed can sometimes be used to add volume elsewhere, such as the breasts, or to correct contour problems and scars.
Liposuction can help with
- Tummy and waist
- Flanks (“love handles”) and back
- Inner and outer thighs
- Upper arms
- Under the chin
- Male chest
What it won’t do
- Treat obesity
- Tighten loose skin
- Remove cellulite

Your journey
Your step-by-step journey
Your journey starts the moment you get in touch. From your first enquiry to your final check-up, you deal with the same small team, and you will always feel listened to, informed and never rushed.
Get in touch
Call, email or send an enquiry. Our team replies promptly and personally, and finds a time and clinic that suit you.
There is no pressure and no sales script. Tell us a little about what prompted you to get in touch, and we will make sure your consultation is with the right person for you.
Consultation
An unhurried, face-to-face appointment with Mr Kumar himself, who will be your surgeon from start to finish.
He listens to what you would like to change, examines you, explains every option, including non-surgical ones and doing nothing, and gives you an honest view of the likely result.
Time to decide
You receive a written plan, a clear quote and your patient guide, then take as long as you need.
A second consultation is included before surgery, and there is a cooling-off period of at least two weeks. Bring someone with you, ask anything, and change your mind at any point.
Day of treatment
Most liposuction takes one to two hours, often as a day case. You wake up in a compression garment.
He will see you beforehand to go through the plan and answer last-minute questions, and you will have clear instructions and a number to call once you go home.
Aftercare and follow-up
Reviews at each stage of your recovery, with support 24 hours a day whenever you need it.
Follow-up appointments are included in your package price, and continue until you have healed and are happy with how things have settled. You wear your compression garment for around six weeks.
Recovery
Healing, step by step
Everyone heals at their own pace. This is a typical recovery, and Mr Kumar will give you a personal plan.
Bruising, swelling and some fluid leaking from the tiny incisions. Shower after 72 hours.
Most people return to desk work.
Bruising fades. Keep wearing your garment.
Return to exercise.
Swelling settles and the final contour appears.

AMAZING SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH I felt at complete ease, understood and physically and mentally ready from consultation to surgery. I had been to three previous hospitals and had consultations with other doctors and did not get this service. …
Having liposuction was new to me. Although I can't recommend some of the discomfort I can highly recommend Mr Kumar with high regard for his professionalism. He was very personable and empathetic so I always felt I was in the best possible hands. I am more than happy with the results
He explained everything to the best of his ability and when asked to explain something simpler he did just that. He ensured I was prepared adequately and ensured I was comfortable.

FAQs
Your questions, answered
Is liposuction permanent?
Fat cells removed do not come back, but the remaining fat can still grow if you gain weight.
How much fat can be removed?
For safety, there is a limit to how much can be removed in one session. Mr Kumar will advise what is sensible for you.
Will my skin be loose afterwards?
Good skin usually tightens well. If your skin is already loose, a lift or tuck may be recommended instead.

The guide price starts from £2,995. Your final fee depends on your treatment plan and choice of hospital, and is confirmed in a written quote after consultation. Self-pay consultations cost £250.
