What are anti-wrinkle injections?

Relaxing the muscles that cause lines

From our early thirties, lines begin to form on the upper face from repeated expressions such as frowning, smiling and raising the eyebrows.

Botulinum toxin type A, known by brand names such as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin, relaxes the specific muscles that cause these lines, so the skin above smooths out.

It is a prescription medicine, so it can only be prescribed after a face-to-face consultation. Mr Kumar is experienced and qualified in its use, and aims for a fresh, natural result rather than a frozen look.

Anti-wrinkle injections can help with

  • Frown lines between the brows
  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • Crow’s feet around the eyes
  • Bunny lines on the nose
  • Excessive underarm sweating

What it won’t do

  • Restore lost volume (fillers do this)
  • Treat deep, static creases fully on their own
