About cookies

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser’s local storage, which works in a similar way. Some cookies are essential for a website to work. Others, such as analytics cookies, are optional and are only used if you agree.

Essential cookies and storage

These are needed for the website to work, so they don’t need your consent:

  • cookiez-user-consent: remembers your choices in our cookie banner.
  • Elementor (local and session storage): used by our page builder so that page features work properly.
  • ea11y-global-state (local storage): remembers any settings you choose in the accessibility tool, such as larger text.
  • WordPress login cookies: only set for site administrators when they log in.

Analytics cookies (only if you accept)

If you choose “Accept all”, or turn on analytics under “Customise”, we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they get in touch with us, for example by sending an enquiry or tapping a phone number. It sets two cookies:

  • _ga: tells one visitor apart from another. It lasts up to 13 months.
  • _ga_5JH9BV5N3V: keeps track of your visit. It lasts up to 13 months.

Nothing is sent to Google until you accept. We don’t send Google your name, your contact details or anything you type into our forms, and Google’s advertising features are switched off. Google’s privacy policy explains how Google uses this information.

Changing your mind

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Embedded videos

Some treatment pages include YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, YouTube may store information in your browser. Google’s privacy policy explains how.

What we don’t use

We don’t use advertising or social media tracking cookies, and we don’t share information about your visit with advertisers.

Managing cookies

Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies and to delete cookies. The methods for doing so vary from browser to browser, and from version to version. You can however obtain up-to-date information about blocking and deleting cookies via these links:

Blocking all cookies will have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites

If you block cookies, you will not be able to use all the features on our website.

Changes to this policy

If we change the cookies we use, we will update this policy and, where needed, ask for your consent again.
