The package
What you are paying for
A breast uplift (mastopexy) lifts and reshapes breasts that have dropped after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss or with age. It removes loose skin and raises the nipple to a higher position.
An uplift does not add volume on its own. If you would like more fullness as well, it can be combined with implants or fat transfer, which changes the price.
Your package price usually includes
- Your surgeon’s fee: Mr Kumar performs your surgery personally
- The consultant anaesthetist’s fee, where an anaesthetic is needed
- Hospital and theatre fees, at a CQC-registered hospital
- A set number of follow-up appointments
- Aftercare and support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Everything in writing, with no pressure to proceed

What affects the price
Every treatment is planned around you, so the guide price is a starting point. These are the main things that shape your final quote.
Uplift alone or with volume
Adding implants or fat transfer adds to the operating time and the cost.
How much lift is needed
A small lift may need a scar only around the nipple. More lift needs a scar around the nipple and down, sometimes with a short scar in the fold.
Correcting a difference in size
If your breasts differ in size or position, the plan is tailored to each side.
Your choice of hospital
Hospital fees differ, so the price depends on which partner hospital you choose.

Insurance and finance
A breast uplift is cosmetic, so health insurers do not usually cover it.
KIMS Hospital and The McIndoe Centre offer finance packages to help spread the cost. Details are on their own websites. These are third-party finance companies, not affiliated with Mr Kumar.
Other things to plan for
- Time off work: about two weeks for desk work
- A supportive post-surgery bra, worn day and night for around six weeks
- No heavy lifting or strenuous exercise for about six weeks
- Someone to take you home on the day
Comparing quotes
Why prices vary
Prices vary because surgeons include different things. When you compare quotes, check whether each one includes the surgeon’s and anaesthetist’s fees, hospital and theatre fees, any overnight stay and your follow-up appointments.
If you are comparing quotes for an uplift with implants, check whether the implants are included and which make is used.
Surgery abroad can look cheaper, but you are far from your surgeon if you need help while you recover. With Mr Kumar you are cared for in CQC-registered facilities close to home, with support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
